Francesco Del Garda, Oshana, Onur Özer and Quest announced for Sicily’s new Aura Festival

A brand new festival set among the ruins of an ancient Greek sanctuary is coming to Sicily this spring, bringing a carefully curated underground lineup to one of Italy’s most atmospheric cultural landmarks.
The inaugural Aura Festival will take place on May 1–2, 2026 at the historic Parco Archeologico di Segesta, near Castellammare del Golfo in western Sicily. With a limited 4,000-person capacity, the two-day event aims to deliver an intimate electronic music experience set against the striking backdrop of the Doric Temple of Segesta and the surrounding Sicilian countryside.
Positioned as a daytime-into-sunset gathering, Aura will blend high-quality production, scenic immersion and underground programming, bringing a fresh concept to the island’s festival circuit.
Leading the debut lineup are respected selectors and minimal-leaning favourites including Francesco Del Garda, Oshana, Onur Özer and Quest, alongside rising UK house figure Josh Baker and Romanian groove specialist Traumer. They will be joined by Locklead, Bartolomeo, Sensazione Stupenda, Biondo and Sebastian Capacity.
The event is the first in a series of destination shows from UNLOCKED, the promoters behind Aura, who plan to stage future events in similarly unique Sicilian locations.
Set among the rolling hills of western Sicily, the archaeological park of Segesta is one of the island’s most significant heritage sites, home to the remarkably preserved Doric temple and an ancient theatre overlooking sweeping countryside views. For Aura, the natural landscape will form the heart of the experience, with music evolving throughout the day as the atmosphere shifts from sun-soaked dancing to starlit celebration.
Speaking about the concept, the organisers said:
“AURA was created to forge new connections between people, music, art and places through an experience that focuses on perception. In an accelerating world, Aura chooses to slow down: it does not follow trends, but seeks meaning, depth and balance. It is about electronic music in dialogue with the history of Segesta, while people and their stories intertwine in a shared space.”
With its focus on musical depth, historical surroundings and a boutique-scale crowd, Aura Festival is set to offer an alternative to traditional club environments — and a unique cultural getaway on the Sicilian coast.
