Kiesgrube 30 Years: Sven Väth, Tobi Neumann and Steve Bug confirmed for 2026 season

Kiesgrube 2025

Kiesgrube has unveiled the full line-up for its 30th anniversary season, with Sven Väth, Tobi Neumann and Steve Bug among the headline names confirmed for Kiesgrube 2026.

Widely regarded as one of Europe’s longest-running open-air electronic music venues, Kiesgrube has operated as a weekly fixture near Düsseldorf since 1996. For its 30th anniversary in 2026, the German open-air club enters a new chapter with a rebuilt site, expanded dance areas and a brand-new L-Acoustics sound system. Reinforcing its status as a cornerstone of the European summer circuit.

A key highlight of the Kiesgrube 2026 season lands on July 12, when Sven Väth tops the bill. The Cocoon founder and long-standing architect of German techno remains one of the scene’s most influential selectors, and his appearance at Kiesgrube’s 30th anniversary adds historic weight to the programme.

Väth’s connection to open-air culture runs deep, and his set is expected to be one of the defining moments of the Kiesgrube 2026 line-up, reflecting the venue’s long-standing relationship with foundational European techno.

On June 20, Steve Bug joins the Season Special line-up. As the head of Poker Flat Recordings and a pivotal figure in Germany’s house and minimal movement, Bug’s inclusion underlines the club’s continued commitment to groove-driven, underground-focused programming.

Steve Bug’s appearance at Kiesgrube 2026 further cements the anniversary season as a meeting point between heritage artists and contemporary club culture.

Later in the summer, Tobi Neumann is confirmed for August 16 alongside Boris Brejcha and Andrea Oliva. A Panorama Bar regular with decades of experience behind the decks, Neumann’s presence strengthens the deeper end of the Kiesgrube 2026 programme.

His fluid, long-form approach mirrors the ethos that has defined Kiesgrube Düsseldorf for three decades: extended sets, close crowd proximity and music-first Sundays.

Located within easy reach of Düsseldorf and Cologne, Kiesgrube has built its identity around open-air Sundays set in raw natural surroundings. Sand-covered floors, tree-lined dance areas and minimal barriers between artist and audience have helped the venue maintain a fiercely independent character within Germany’s club landscape.

The Kiesgrube 30th anniversary season runs from April through August 2026 and also features Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Peggy Gou, Amelie Lens, Maceo Plex and Black Coffee, before concluding with a Season Closing on August 30 headlined by Joseph Capriati b2b Mau P.

With upgraded infrastructure and a forward-looking programme, Kiesgrube 2026 positions the Düsseldorf open-air club firmly at the centre of Europe’s summer electronic music calendar.
