Frame Music scores another win with Becker’s Intergalactic EP

Becker’s catalogue has always leaned toward the sophisticated end of dancefloor focused house and minimal, and his Intergalactic EP for Frame Music, out since late August, pushes that a little further.

The title track pairs rubbery kicks and driving bass with cosmic synths that feel genuinely warped rather than just spacey. “Lose Control” is the more straightforward cut of the three, a rolling minimal track built around wiggling synth hooks and deft percussion. “Hello Tunisia” is where things get interesting, with loose broken beats, fragmented vocal snippets and echoing bongos arranged into a spacious, off kilter closer that still feels controlled.

A London based, German born producer with releases on WYS, Serialism and Horizont Audio, Becker remains a permanent fixture at Ritmo London, the crew he calls his musical family in the city. Intergalactic is out now on Frame Music.
