Alessio Collina presents Shades of Me E.P. on Trend Records
Alessio Collina returns to his own Trend Records imprint with Shades of Me E.P., a four track vinyl release that explores several sides of his house music identity while staying firmly connected to the dancefloor.
Scheduled for release on 24 September 2026, TRLTD007 is a limited vinyl only pressing of just 200 copies, bringing together four cuts that move between Garage, Deep House, Tribal rhythms, Tech House and classic Chicago influences.
The A side opens with “Bloom in the Garage”, a raw and groove heavy house workout built around a chunky bassline, dirty drums and Garage inspired stabs. The MPC1000 driven swing gives the track a loose, physical feel, with enough funk in the groove to make it work equally well in the club or deeper into an extended DJ set.
Next comes “Back to the Real”, a much deeper affair. Tribal percussion, a hypnotic groove and a sensual atmosphere give the track a late night character. It is the kind of record that can comfortably find its place during a warm up, but also has the mood and depth required for an intimate afterhours session.
On the B side, “Spring Equinox” brings the energy up with a rolling Tech House groove and a powerful bassline at its centre. Dreamy melodies and sharp, dynamic stabs add movement to the arrangement, creating one of the EP’s most direct dancefloor moments.
Closing the release is “The Party”, a darker cut with clear connections to the sound and spirit of Chicago House. Rather than simply recreating the classic formula, Collina gives the track his own interpretation, resulting in a stripped back and atmospheric finale.
The release reflects Collina’s long standing connection with house music and vinyl culture. Through Trend Records, he has worked with both established names and emerging artists, with the label’s catalogue featuring artists including Terry Farley, Paul Johnson, Ricky Montanari and Paul Cut.
His own musical journey has also taken him well beyond his native Italy, with DJ appearances in cities including Berlin, Zurich, Barcelona, Ibiza, London and Tunis. As HILL, his production work has appeared on labels such as Skylax Records, Wilson Records and Bosconi Records, while his music has received support from artists including Jimpster, Kerri Chandler, DJ Sneak, Honey Dijon, Doc Martin, Eris Drew, Octo Octa and Slam.
With Shades of Me E.P., Collina brings these influences together across four tracks that share a common focus on groove, bass and movement. From the garage swing of the opening track through to the darker Chicago flavour of the closer, it is a release designed with DJs and vinyl lovers in mind.
Mastered by Spectrum Studio in Bologna and distributed by Basic Frame Distribution, Shades of Me E.P. lands on Trend Records Limited on 24 September 2026, with only 200 copies available.
