Amsterdam’s Thuishaven introduces its new label Haven Trax, opening with Prunk’s ‘The Game’ EP

For over a decade, Amsterdam’s Thuishaven has been a driving force in the Dutch electronic music scene, hosting iconic names like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Jeff Mills, Gerd Janson, and many more. Known for its raw and distinctive vibe, the venue has become a cornerstone of the city’s underground culture, attracting music enthusiasts from around the world. Among its regular performers, Dutch DJ/producer Prunk has cemented his status as a central figure, delivering unforgettable moments from sold-out 10-hour marathons to countless appearances alongside industry heavyweights since Thuishaven’s inception over eleven years ago.

Now, Thuishaven enters a new chapter with the launch of its in-house label, Haven Trax, enlisting PIV head honcho Prunk to lead the charge. With this debut release, the Dutch tastemakers aim to showcase the talent of their core family and key artists who’ve shaped their journey. Prunk, with his wealth of studio experience, steps up with a fresh three-track EP, reimagining his signature soulful and groove-driven house sound with a forward-thinking edge. The milestone release sets the tone for Haven Trax’s exciting future, with Prunk’s next 10HRS show on 1st February aligning with the vinyl drop.

The EP opens with ‘The Game,’ an uplifting anthem featuring shimmering tones and refined synths, perfect for capturing the magic of a sunset set. ‘Pyramid’ takes the reins next, delivering a sleek, pared-back groove that blends funk and house with effortless finesse. Rounding out the package, ‘Galaxy’ shifts gears with tunneling rhythms and fizzing beats, creating a hypnotic late-night journey and providing a thrilling glimpse into the label’s visionary path ahead.
