Cyphon Recordings releases new EP from Tijuana duo, Cyborg Nerve (premiere)

Following their successful releases with DJ Rocca, Cyphon Recordings has enlisted the talents of Tijuana's Cyborg Nerve for their third label release. Headed by the Cedillo brothers, who are also known for their work as Soul of Hex and Mano De Fuego, Cyborg Nerve's sound pays homage to the roots of Detroit electro and techno. Under their Soul of Hex alias, the duo has garnered attention from labels and artists worldwide, including Delusions of Grandeur, Freerange Records, and Quintessentials, and even received a remix from Chicago legend Larry Heard. As Mano De Fuego, they've also made waves in the American dance music scene, with a debut release on Underground Resistance earlier this year.
For their debut as Cyborg Nerve, the duo presents four tracks of old school electro grooves. "Cristalizacion" sets the tone with intergalactic electro sounds, featuring celestial pads, warm bass, and staccato drum rhythms. The eponymous "Cyborg Nerve" follows, with a driving bassline and crisp hats creating a high-energy track. "Tijuana 3000" combines cosmic twinkling melodies with a hypnotic acid line, reminiscent of Detroit's Galaxy 2 Galaxy. Finally, "Machine Effect" closes out the EP with a raw, machine-funk groove and precise drum programming, offering pure cosmic vibrations for the dance floor.
