Electronic music heavyweights Deep Dish are officially back on Global Underground, announcing their long-awaited return to the iconic City Series with #GU49 Dublin, landing May 2026.
The release completes a trilogy that began 25 years ago with the revered #GU21 Moscow, followed by the genre-defining #GU25 Toronto, two compilations that helped shape the sound of progressive and underground club culture at the turn of the millennium.
Now, Sharam and Dubfire close the circle with a new chapter inspired by Dublin’s late-night energy, delivering what Global Underground is calling a masterclass in long-form DJ storytelling.
More than just another mix album, #GU49 Dublin arrives as a collector’s piece, continuing the City Series’ reputation as one of electronic music’s most respected compilation formats.
The release also includes an album-exclusive Deep Dish remix of Moderat’s seminal track ‘Eating Hooks’, set to drop as a standalone single on May 1st.
To mark the launch, Deep Dish will headline a sold-out #GU49 Dublin release party at Index Dublin on Friday, January 30th, bringing the sound of the compilation straight to the dancefloor.
Reflecting on their return, Deep Dish said:
“Global Underground was foundational for us, not just as a platform, but as a legacy. The series has always been about storytelling, capturing moments in time through music. Coming back now feels like closing a circle while opening a new chapter.”
Global Underground founder Andy Horsfield added:
“It’s an honour to work with Ali and Sharam again on another City Series album, this time inspired by Dublin. Just like Moscow and Toronto, they’ve delivered something truly special. We know fans across the world are going to love it.”
Tracklist details are expected in February, with #GU49 Dublin releasing across digital, CD and vinyl, alongside a limited collector’s edition yet to be revealed.
