Hi Omari, welcome to Nightclubber. How has 2024 been for you so far? How is summer?

Hey there! 2024's been crazy so far. I've been lucky enough to play shows all across the country and I've had some amazing support on a lot of released and upcoming tracks which has been so great to see. Really looking forward to the next couple weeks to round out a sick summer.

Where are you currently based?

I'm currently based in Manchester. I've grown up here and love the energy the city's got at the moment. So many good brands and artists emerging from such a small space is so great to see.

A great year in terms of releases for you, what have been some of the highlights? A busy schedule paying testament to your work...

This year really has been great. I've been super fortunate to gain multiple Beatport top 10s with my releases, along with getting some crazy support from the likes of Marco Carola, Jamie Jones andJoseph Capriati. I've been super focused on getting my head down and channelling my energy into the quality of my production so it's been great to see it pay off.

Let's talk a bit about your workflow. How is your studio set up? What gear couldn't you live without?

I'd say my studio set up at the moment is pretty simple. Everything is set up to work quickly on ideas so the use of templates and signature sound libraries has been key. I have a few synths set up and at the moment I've been getting a lot of use out of the Minologue XD. It’s so versatile and has some crazy deep sounds, a really great starter synth for anyone on the lookout.

How do you prepare for DJ sets, is there a certain way? Or it depends on the scenario?

It really depends on the set actually. I spend quite a long time digging throughout the week, finding new tracks is a big part of what inspires my production so I end up having loads of music I can’t wait to play out. I feel like the most you can do to get ready for a set is be prepared for everything. Have a large range of music that can work in all types of sets and just go with the flow.

How is the rest of the year looking for you? We hear you are launching your own label...

The rest of the year is looking quite crazy! I’ve got my debut Ibiza gig and I’m throwing the launch party for my label there as well which I can’t wait for. I’m so excited to bring my concept to life and give a platform to some amazing underground artists I’ve met over the years, keep an eye out for Ouroneo!  Got a few more solid releases as well and some amazing sets I can’t talk about at the moment…

Can you leave us with one after party track? (Youtube link and reasons why you like it)

Got to be Luuk Van Dijk - The First Time ft. Mizbee! From the baseline to the crazy vocal, it always sets the tone for a groovy one. The LvD, Mizbee combination is always crazy!
