L.D.F. Launches New Imprint “World Beats”

Naples-based DJ and producer Lello Di Franco, better known as L.D.F., opens a fresh chapter in his long-standing career with the launch of World Beats, a new vinyl-focused project aimed squarely at deeper, rhythm-led dancefloors. The debut release, World Beats Vol.1, lands on 19 February 2026, setting the tone for a label rooted in raw edits, sampling culture and global club sensibility.

A name that’s long been synonymous with underground house culture, L.D.F. draws directly from his extensive vinyl collection for this project, reshaping forgotten and classic cuts into modern, club-ready tools. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and current — less about nostalgia, more about energy, groove and intent.

For the first volume, L.D.F. brings together a carefully selected group of like-minded artists from different scenes and cities. Jesse Bru adds his distinctive touch, while Chicago edit legend Rahaan delivers one of his signature floor-tested contributions. Completing the lineup is Berlin-based DJ Merci, whose input further reinforces the release’s international outlook. Each track brings its own character, yet the EP flows as a cohesive statement — deep, rhythmic and unapologetically dancefloor-driven.

The launch of World Beats feels like a natural extension of L.D.F.’s journey. Active since the early ’90s, his musical roots stretch across Funk, Disco and Hip Hop, later shaped by House and Detroit Techno influences. Over the years, he has shared booths with heavyweights such as Derrick May, Ellen Allien, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Robert Hood and Paul Johnson, while releasing on respected labels including Skylax, Morris Audio, Housewax, La Peña and King Street Sounds. As owner of Frole Records and co-founder of Basic Frame Distribution, L.D.F. has consistently operated at the intersection of artist, curator and tastemaker.

With World Beats Vol.1, L.D.F. isn’t chasing trends — he’s setting a mood. It’s a release designed for DJs who value depth, groove and musical storytelling, and a strong opening statement for a label that promises to keep its focus firmly on the essence of the dancefloor.
