Late Night Tuff Guy returns!

Australian producer Late Night Tuff Guy has long been one of the most prolific edit-masters in the game. Regardless of whether he’s putting his disco sheen on old Prince records or releasing killer tracks under his DJ HMC alias, he’s a man who quite clearly boasts the midas touch where edits and dancefloor friendly anthems are concerned. Needless to say, his appeal is often intertwined with the appeal of the original tracks, but kudos also to him for selecting great ones. His latest remix is a A fresh interpretation of the iconic '80s dance classic "I Want It To Be Real" by John Rocca. As Freeze, Rocca was part-responsible for one of Italo’s golden moment (the still brilliant "IOU") so it’s no surprise really to learn that his music has captured the ears of LNTG.

The vinyl release not only includes the LNTG remix but also features a remastered reissue of the esteemed Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk's 1987 Hot House Piano Remix. This release showcases two versions of the track: "I Want It To Be Real" (Late Nite Tuff Guy Edit) and "I Want It To Be Real" (Farley's Hot House Piano Mix).

Originally written way back in 1984, "I Want It To Be Real" features tantalizing synth work, intensified basslines, distinctive gated snares, and quintessential '80s vocals. Late Nite Tuff Guy's brand-new mix builds upon this brilliance with expert precision, strategically holding back the vocals until the final moments and introducing silky new synth magic and skillful filtering to the mix. A really brilliant interpretation of a quite exceptional original: this one will absolutely do damage wherever it’s unleashed.
