Lis Sarroca Shares 'Signals' Record On Her Maai Records Label

Lis Sarroca marks the tenth release on her Maai Records imprint with her debut vinyl release on the label, “Signals.” Since its inception in 2021, Maai has quickly become an essential label for tastemakers, and in parallel, Lis has been steadily carving out her path as an artist. Recent highlights include gigs at Panorama Bar, Dimensions Festival, and several U.S. dates, alongside releases on established imprints such as Smallville, Tresydos, Shall Not Fade and the iconic Chiwax, to name a few. Her Signals EP spans four tracks, moving seamlessly between refined house and electro energy, all infused with her signature uplifting touch.

Opening the EP is “Real Times” mechanical and hypnotic, with chunky drums and a whirring, sub-heavy bassline. The Barcelona-based producer builds layers of tension and release, giving the EP a transcendent start. “Multicolor” follows with a nostalgic electro tip, laced with inspiring synths and shimmering pads, a track made for pure, ecstatic moments on the dancefloor.

“Stuck On You” kicks off the B-side, glowing with a distinct, pensive mood from the outset. A futuristic encounter unfolds, conversing with the robots of the hazy night hours. While mysterious, Sarroca still manages to channel her ethereal energy, lifting the atmosphere with bright tones and animated rhythm. Finally, “Appearances” closes the EP on a progressive yet Italo note, chugging deep into the night. Intricate details reveal themselves gradually, showcasing the unique charm found throughout Lis’ productions, a sound aimed to enchant the dancefloor and pull it into her world.

This milestone release comes at a fitting time, as Lis continues to forge her path in music. Her recent activity stands as a testament to her dedication as both a producer and collector.
