Ministry of Sound celebrates 35 years with Kerri Chandler, Moodymann, Loco Dice and more
Few clubs can claim 35 years at the forefront of dance music, but Ministry of Sound is marking the milestone with a weekend that reflects both its legacy and its future. Taking place on 2–3 October at the club's iconic South London home, the anniversary celebrations bring together four heavyweight names across drum & bass, house and techno, with more artists still to be announced.
Friday belongs to Andy C, who returns to Ministry of Sound for the first time in a decade. Hosted by Louder, the drum & bass icon will deliver an extended three-hour set featuring music from his forthcoming fourth album, marking one of the most anticipated bookings of the club's anniversary programme.
Saturday opens with Hard Times, welcoming two genuine house music pioneers. New York legend Kerri Chandler joins Detroit's Moodymann for an extended daytime session that pairs two of dance music's most influential selectors. The celebrations then move into the night with Ministry's flagship underground party URGE, where Loco Dice closes the weekend with his signature groove-led house and techno sound.
The birthday weekend forms part of a wider programme celebrating Ministry of Sound's 35th anniversary, which has also seen the launch of the Ministry of Sound: Anthology book, emerging DJ initiative Boxed In, the immersive Last Orders dining experience, and the brand's return to Ibiza for the first time in more than a decade.
