Moonee drops 'Ghosts Of Massilia' EP + Premiere
Groovence Founder Moonee returns to Groovence with his latest sonic ritual, Ghosts Of Massilia—a five-track EP that channels the echoes of Marseille’s hidden past into a spectral, deeply emotive electronic odyssey.

Steeped in folklore and infused with an otherworldly energy, this release feels less like a collection of tracks and more like an invitation to a séance where synths whisper forgotten stories and rhythms pulse like distant waves against ancient shores. Haunting textures and ethereal harmonies weave through hypnotic grooves, blurring the line between reality and the echoes of the unseen.
With Ghosts Of Massilia, Moonee ventures into uncharted sonic territory, offering a distinct departure from the sun-soaked, percussive house explorations of his past.
Following last year’s SandQuest LP on Oath Istanbul, this EP taps into a deeper, more cinematic narrative—where the city’s phantom voices resonate through fog-drenched basslines and spectral melodies guide the listener through a dance between the living and the lost.
Here at nightclubber.ro we had the pleasure of presenting the premiere of ‘99 Sand ATTACK’ and we also managed to grab Moonee himself for a few words about the track…
‘I think this is the most danceable and sun-soaked track on the maxi. I wanted something that hits you right in the feels and makes your sneakers smile — a tune everyone can make their own. It draws as much from ‘90s American house as it does from a more leftfield, slightly futuristic vibe, especially with those Triton pads and haunted Basslines. Hope you enjoy it as much as I loved building it ✌️’
Keep the spirits alive!!
