Neopop announces dates and first line-up announcement for 2024
Portugal’s Neopop has announced its line-up for this year’s festival. Running from Thursday, 8 Aug 2024 until Saturday 10 Aug 2024, it already features some serious heavy hitters from the worlds of house and techno.
The initial announcements are rolling in, and this year promises a plethora of thrilling debuts. Among them, they have Indira Paganotto, delivering an electrifying blend of psy-trance and techno; MOCHAKK, infusing various styles with contagious energy; and Nico Moreno, a prominent figure in the industrial techno rave scene.
Joining the lineup is Sama' Abdulhadi, reimagining Berlin techno through a Lebanese perspective; KETTAMA, with pulsating grooves and captivating basslines; X CLUB., offering an authentic take on dance music inspired by early techno and futuristic drum'n'bass; and the national b2b set of DJ Lynce and Violet, promising an unpredictable journey through genres.
Returning favourites include Amelie Lens, whose sets oscillate between classic and avant-garde techno; Dax J, a stalwart of global techno with impeccable technique; and Héctor Oaks, blending contemporary techno with a deep understanding of rave culture.
Also gracing the stage are Jeff Mills, a pioneer of Detroit techno with a visionary outlook; Josh Wink, known for his versatile approach spanning techno and house; Richie Hawtin, a forefront innovator in technology and concept; and Octave One live, delivering electrifying performances blending funk, house, and symphonic beats.
Representing the national scene are Roundhouse Kick, offering mutations of house and techno; Salbany, with techno influenced by Detroit and the 90s; and Rui Vargas, a master of crafting dance narratives across electronic music genres. Serginho and Ze Salvador bring their timeless sonic identity in a b2b format, while Luisa offers house infused with breakbeat and techno. Visuals for both stages will be curated by the DubLab collective.
