Offenbach label Movida return with three-vinyl pack

Despite a remarkable discography that began with his inaugural vinyl release in 2007, Sascha Dive remains a young force in the deeper realms of house music—a refreshing exception in today's landscape. Powered by boundless energy and exceptional skill, he effortlessly stands on par with his esteemed predecessors.

In a country dominated by techno, Dive draws inspiration from deep house pioneers like Moodymann, Chez Damier, and Ron Trent, as well as the influential German labels like Playhouse. His latest work sees him contribute to the Movida Records story. The German label has played host to a number of esteemed talents over the years: think Robag Wruhme, Giovanni Damico, Matt Starr, Arapu, Basti Grub, Patrizio Cavaliere and more. For their latest trick, they call on a host of well-known names for the heavy-loaded Water Drop Parts 1, 2 & 3.

Curated to celebrate the label’s years-long contribution to the dance underground, all profits from the release will be donated to charities helping to provide much-needed support to international communities.

A dizzying, three-vinyl slab of astute sounds, it features a seriously diverse array of musicians from Jesse Somfay to Frankfurt legend C-Rock to Franco Cinelli and the aforementioned Sascha Dive. Thought Somfay’s ‘Arborvitae (A Voice Like Water)’ runs it close, Dive’s ‘FEOS Treatment’ (perhaps a tribute to fellow Frankfurt innovator Pascal FEOS?) is the real star turn on the release. Great stuff from the Offenbach label.
