Sonar Lisbon announces first names for 4th edition
The next edition of Sónar Lisboa is set for April 11-13, 2025, in Lisbon’s central Parque Eduardo VII. This event will launch the 2025 festival season, enhancing Lisbon’s status as a hub for innovative electronic music during a memorable weekend.
The initial lineup highlights iconic techno and house sounds, featuring Marcel Dettmann’s new live set My Own Shadow, DJ sets by Anetha, Nina Kraviz, and underground artists ISAbella and BASHKKA b2b Ogazón. Max Cooper will present a new audiovisual show.

The festival also celebrates genre-defying talent in contemporary club culture, with German pioneers Modeselektor, who will bring one of their eclectic DJ sets, and Gabber Eleganza’s The Hakke Show debuting in Portugal. Other key acts include Juliana Huxtable, legendary French DJ Jennifer Cardini, Madrid rave star Héctor Oaks, rising Brazilian DJ Clementaum, the acclaimed selector JASSS, and high-energy acts NOIA and Amor Satyr & Siu Mata.
These initial 15 artists are just the beginning, as more performers—ranging from local collectives and international icons to experimental acts—will be revealed soon.
The fourth Sónar Lisboa will unfold over a packed weekend, showcasing a program that celebrates the current and future of dance music, designed for audiences eager for bold, boundary-pushing experiences.
Sónar Lisboa 2025 offers two festival formats: Sónar by Day (April 12-13) and Sónar by Night (April 11-12), both at the lush Parque Eduardo VII. Sónar by Day spans three stages—two outdoor and one indoor—offering a relaxed setting to enjoy diverse sounds representing Lisbon’s vibrant scene and global music trends. Sónar by Night, held on a single stage, provides an immersive club experience through a curated lineup of DJ sets and live performances.
Highlights in the first announcement include My Own Shadow by Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann, powerful techno by Nina Kraviz and Anetha, Max Cooper’s conceptual AV show, and house and techno sets by ISAbella and BASHKKA b2b Ogazón.
Showcasing artists who defy convention, the lineup includes Modeselektor, with a rarely-seen-in-Portugal set, Gabber Eleganza’s tribute to post-rave culture, and DJ sets from Juliana Huxtable, Jennifer Cardini, Héctor Oaks, Clementaum, NOIA, JASSS, and the high-octane Amor Satyr & Siu Mata.
Set in a city renowned as a European electronic music hotspot, Sónar Lisboa promises an exceptional weekend for attendees, combining local and international talents in a welcoming atmosphere driven by audience curiosity.
Returning for its third year at the historic Parque Eduardo VII, Sónar Lisboa is accessible by public transport and centered around the iconic Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, an architectural landmark with deep cultural significance in Lisbon.
Following Sónar Lisboa, the 2025 Sónar season continues with Sónar Istanbul on May 9-10 for its ninth edition, followed by the 32nd edition of Sónar Barcelona on June 12-14.
