UK promoters Tryouts launch Bucharest party
Tryouts takes over Bucharest: London's cult underground party heads east
If you know, you know. And if you don’t, well — this weekend’s your chance to find out.
Tryouts For The Human Race, one of London’s most revered underground warehouse parties, is heading to Bucharest for a two-day takeover. From 23rd to 25th May, Tryouts will bring 250 London clubbers to the Romanian capital for a proper off-the-books-style blowout.

The party kicks off on Friday at Platforma Wolff with a back-to-back set from the Tryouts founder and long-time collaborator Wallace. Then on Saturday, the crew heads to Control Club for a full-throttle night led by a live performance from Decius — known for their chaotic, high-energy sets — alongside a strong local and international DJ lineup.
Described by Radio Slave as ‘properly underground, already legendary’ and dubbed ‘the best club in London’ by David Holmes, Tryouts has quietly built a reputation for rule-breaking, word-of-mouth events that always deliver. It’s the kind of night where you might hear someone say: ‘If David Mancuso met Nathan Barley on the edge of a k-hole, that’s Tryouts’ — and not be far off the mark.
But behind the tongue-in-cheek branding and irreverent attitude lies a serious commitment to quality: impeccable sound, immersive visuals and out-there locations that have cultivated a fiercely loyal following. The result? Sell-out shows (the most recent sold out in 14 minutes), a steady stream of heavyweight DJs asking to play, and a scene that feels as exciting as it is unpredictable.
So if you’re in Bucharest this weekend, clear your calendar. You’re not going to want to miss this.
